• Congrats to our SMA Basketball Team!!! The 5th & 6th grade boys basketball team ended an amazing season on Saturday. They took 1st place and had 15 wins and only 1 loss. Congratulations to 5th graders: JJ Chapman, AJ Chiodo, David Fitzgibbons, Kellum Slavin, Jarred Exxume & Carlos Serrano & 6th grader: Charlie Martell
• Super Enrollment News Catholic Schools!!! The National Catholic Educational Association said nationwide enrollment increased by 62,000 to about 1.68 million students, marking the first increase in two decades and the largest jump it has recorded in at least five decades. Philadelphia Kenneth Gavin, Chief Communications Officer for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, told CNA that overall enrollment in their Catholic schools is up 2.5% from last academic year.

SMA Dismissal Update 2/18/2022

****** THE SAFETY OF OUR PARKING LOT DURING CAR LINE DISMISSAL IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE TO US.

• Students Grades 1-8 exit "A" Doors for car line pickup.  All cars picking up students are to line up in our school parking lot across from the A - B - C Doors.  
• EVERYONE MUST EXIT USING THE DRIVEWAY WITH THE TRAFFIC LIGHT.  DO NOT USE THE RECTORY DRIVEWAY EXIT. THIS CREATES A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD.
• PLEASE REALIZE THAT NO ONE MAY PARK NEAR CATHOLIC SOCIAL SERVICES OR GYM SIDE PARKING LOTS.  (Exception 8 Grade Safety Parents)
• THERE IS NO MOVING WHILE ANY CHILD IS STILL WALKING BETWEEN CARS. 
• Car line students are not to walk to other lots.  The car line moves out quickly enough so no one needs to be inconvenienced.
• PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR LANE.
• If everyone follows the correct procedures things will move smoothly and efficiently.

• SMA Winterfest 2022 Go to www.sma-pa.org

SMA Winterfest 2022 Basket Night will be held as a virtual event on March 13. You will be able to come preview the baskets and place your tickets in the containers on Friday, March 11 from 4 PM - 7 PM, Saturday, March 12 from 9 AM -11 AM and again from 3 PM to 6 PM. (We will not be in the gym from 11 AM to 3 PM.) and on March 13 from 10 AM to Noon. All winning tickets will be pulled via livestream from the gym at 1 PM. We ask that you please come during this timeframe so that we can keep our lines moving during the weekend of the event, however, we will still have these tickets available for purchase that weekend. Winterfest is such a successful event because of our parish family and surrounding community's support year after year. We are hoping that you or someone you know might be willing to be a sponsor for the event (business ad or personal ad in our program), possibly donate a basket or an item for a basket. Whatever you can do to help with this endeavor we are most grateful. As for the weekend of the event, we will need to limit our number of attendees in the gym to keep with social distance guidelines and we ask that everyone who enters the school to please wear a mask upon entering, while in school and when leaving school. We thank you in advance for your patience, but most importantly we thank you so much for your continued support of the children of St. Michaels School. Note that in addition to saying a prayer to St. Jude, we can invoke his aid by offering Holy Masses and Communions in his honor. We can also engage in charitable works in his name.
